The Managing Director's Profile – Panya Chattanrassamee

Based in Bangkok , Panya is a major influence in the growth of the executive recruitment industry in Thailand . Before embarking in this career, Panya was an Auditor for SGV Na-Thalang & Co Ltd,
Thailand 's largest firm of public accountants and auditors. He later joined the PSA Group as Accounting Manager at Interlife Co Ltd and was Director of Finance and Administration at Rama Food Co Ltd.

In 1982, he was invited to start up the auditing unit of CSN & Associates, then a growing marketing research firm. In 1983, the company was approached by Boyden International to be its local partner in Thailand . Panya was appointed and trained to head this business venture, thus starting his hands-on experience in executive search. By 1988, he was named its Managing Director.

Throughout his career in this industry, he has continually established connections with many executives through his participation in the Rotary Club, American Chamber of Commerce, Personnel Management Association of Thailand, The Thai Chamber of Commerce and several informal business groups.

Panya completed Bachelor of Arts in Cost Accounting at Chulalongkorn University in 1972 and then received a Master of Science degree in Accounting at Thammasat University in 1978. In 1979, he passed the Certified Public Accountancy certification. He has maintained relations with fellow Chulalongkorn University , Thammasat University alumni, and the Certified Public Accountants' Association.

Panya has fostered close relationships with client firms and knows a great deal about their corporate cultures and needs. At the same time, he has developed a vast network of candidates and sources, which he carries with him when he set up Executive Search Services Co Ltd in November 1992.
